Watch: Steph Curry’s mom, Sonya, drills an underhand half court shot

When you see Steph Curry pretty changing the NBA with his ability to shoot from deep and then you see his brother, Seth, shooting a smooth 44 percent from behind the arc, it’s easy to say that shooting runs in the family.

Both of them are in fact the sons of former sharpshooter Dell Curry, who was a career 40 percent shooter from deep. However, who would have thought that momma Curry could knock ’em down, too?

During an event in which the whole Curry family showed up to christen the refurbished Carole Hoefener Center in Charlotte, it would be Sonya Curry who would knock down a half-court shot to put an end to a shooting contest.

The best part of the video is that Sonya completely whiffs on the first attempt that we see here. Instead of giving in with Dell back there launching from half-court, too, she leans into it more and absolutely drills the second attempt.

With Steph under the basket rebounding, he had a pretty good vantage of the shot and knew that his mom had the winner before it went in.

The Currys have to be the most talented family in basketball right now.
