Watch: Steph Curry praises nursing crew in Oakland via surprise Facetime call

Stephen Curry is taking his talents from the court over to the fight against coronavirus. While the NBA season is on hold, the two-time Most Valuable Player has been busy.

Through his Eat. Learn. Play foundation, Curry and his wife Ayesha have set up a meal donation plan for out of school children in the Bay Area. Golden State’s point guard also hosted a COVID-19 informative Q&A session with infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Curry’s next step was to reach out to a group of medical professionals battling the coronavirus on the frontlines. The six-time All-Star surprised a group of intensive care nurses in the Bay Area to thank them for their work during the pandemic.

On a Facetime call, Curry spoke with Shelby Delaney and other members of the Summit Medical Center in Oakland. Delaney recently posted a message on Instagram wearing a Golden State No. 30 jersey under her uniform. Curry thanked Delaney and her coworkers for being an inspiration.

I can’t thank god enough for what you’re doing — just the sacrifice, the selflessness, the way everybody is coming together. Thank you so much for what you do, your heart and the inspiration y’all provide for everybody.
