WATCH: Steph Curry crossed over by high school prospect

Steph Curry is one of the most experienced players on the Golden State Warriors roster, now that Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala are elsewhere (among other excited teammates after the 2019 free agency period).

But the 31-year-old made a high schooler’s highlight reel this week when the NBA star was crossed over by a prospect.

Chet Holmgren, a 16-year-old seven-footer, drove past Curry with confidence on his way to a slam dunk in a pick-up game at Curry’s SC30 Select Camp in the Bay Area this week. Holmgren is considered a top 10 prospect in his class and is weighing offers from Texas, Purdue, and Minnesota.

Now, the gutsy high school junior is on the national radar for his moves versus one of the most recognized names in basketball — even if the kid had a nine-inch advantage in the mismatch and Curry’s reputation is built more on his handle and his shot than it is his defense.
