The Pittsburgh Steelers will officially be without leading rusher James Conner again in Sunday’s Week 10 home game versus the Rams.
Conner missed Sunday’s 26-24 win versus the Colts and his second missed game in a row is not a surprise, despite Steelers (4-4) head coach Mike Tomlin’s optimism throughout the week.
The Steelers injury report also showed that leading receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster could be absent versus Los Angeles (5-3) with a foot injury. Listed as “doubtful,” the third-year pass-catcher was limited in practice Friday.
Pittsburgh began the year 0-3 but plays for its fourth consecutive win Sunday. Last time Smith-Schuster and Conner were both active, each player scored a touchdown in downing the Dolphins. Conner rushed for 145 years and the score while Smith-Schuster had 103 receiving yards with a TD. The pair is responsible for seven combined touchdowns this season.
