Ryan Shazier suffered a devastating spinal injury 17 months ago during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and was unable to walk unassisted for months after undergoing a spine stabilization surgery.
Shazier has never given up on his dream to return to football one day, and he’s reached milestone after milestone in his long recovery, from regaining feeling in his legs, to standing up and saluting fans at a Penguins game, to walking across the field during Steelers camp last August. The Steelers have kept Shazier on the roster in 2019, and was placed on the physically unable to perform list in April.
Shazier tied the knot this week in Pittsburgh, and an incredible clip emerged of Shazier dancing with his bride, Michelle Rodriguez.
