Watch Stealing Sheep's new video for Not Real

It feels as if music videos endlessly loot the aesthetic dustbins of the 90s at the moment, but trio Becky Hawley, Emily Lansley and Lucy Mercer of Stealing Sheep have stepped back into the surrealist 60s for their new video.

As if lifted from an art student’s vault from decades gone by (or possibly the imagination of Grace Jones), the oddball pop group recreate dream-like scenes through a soft focus lens. The single Not Real – as colourful and hypnotic as the video itself – is taken from their second album of the same name, written, recorded and produced by the band members in their studio in Liverpool, and due for release 13 April on Heavenly Recordings.

Step back into the Technicolor trance below – and tell us what you think in the comments below.

Stealing Sheep perform on 7 May at XOYO.
