Watch staff at the NHS Louisa Jordan in Glasgow thank all those involved in its construction

With construction now done on the new NHS Louisa Jordan, the staff who will be working there showed their thanks to those involved in its creation - by clapping and cheering them out the building.

The video, shared by the temporary hospital in Glasgow via its official Twitter account, has already had over 13,000 views since it was uploaded this afternoon.

The tweet accompanying the video reads: "Every week, the nation has been #ClappingforCarers.

"Today, as construction is completed on NHS Louisa Jordan, our NHS staff are clapping for every single member of our contractor teams who have worked night and day to make this possible. Thank you!"

The hospital will be ready to treat patients from tomorrow, although Health Secretary Jeane Freeman said in a media briefing this afternoon that she hopes it "will not be needed".

The emergency facility at the SEC will be run by the NHS, and will have an initial capacity for 300 patients, which could be expanded to more than 1,000 in the future.
