Watch SpaceX's NASA astronauts dock LIVE with the International Space Station

History was made yesterday (Saturday) as the first SpaceX manned mission successful launched two NASA astronauts into orbit.

After a failed attempt on Wednesday due to stormy weather, the Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Crew Dragon capsule blasted off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on Saturday at 8.22pm UK time.

But the excitement isn't over just yet.

You can watch astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley from the Demo-2 mission arrive at the International Space Station.

With the journey taking around 19 hours, Crew Dragon is set to dock at 10.29am EST - 3.29pm UK time.

You can watch the progress and the docking on Nasa's TV live stream above or follow the link HERE.

Once there, the crew will spend some time performing tests on the capsule in addition to conducting research before coming back to Earth in a few months.

According to Nasa, this is a demonstration mission to show SpaceX’s ability to ferry astronauts to the space station and back safely.

It is the final major step required by SpaceX’s astronaut carrier, the Crew Dragon, to get certified by Nasa’s Commercial Crew Programme for more long-term manned missions to space.
