WATCH: Sherrick McManis with ‘Peanut Punch’ to halt Raiders scoring drive

The Chicago Bears defense once again came up huge in a close game in the final quarter of play against the Oakland Raiders.

On first-and-goal from Chicago 3-yard line, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw a short pass to receiver Trevor Davis, who appeared like he was going to stroll into the endzone for the go-ahead touchdown.

Bears defensive back Sherrick McManis had other plans. McManis punched the ball out of Davis’ hands on the Chicago 1-yard line to come up with a critical fourth-quarter takeaway.

It was the “Peanut Punch” Bears fans know well.

Funny enough, former Bears cornerback Charles “Peanut” Tillman was in attendance, and he had a chat with McManis before the game where he challenged him to do just that.

The Bears lead 21-17 with about 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter.
