Watch Shay Given polish off meal and ignore Mohamed Salah wonder goal in hilarious footage

Mohamed Salah's wonder goal for Liverpool against Chelsea on Sunday wasn't enough to distract Shay Given from a good feed.

Footage shared on social media shows fellow panelists Ian Wright and Steve McManaman leaping off their seats when Salah hit the stunning long-range strike at Anfield.

But former Ireland keeper Given was hilariously much more interested in wolfing down his dinner.

The Donegal man later joked about the video: "Think I was more interested in the chicken Mo Salah than the real Mo Salah."

Salah's goal secured a vital win for Jurgen Klopp's side to move them back above Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Speaking to Sky Sports immediately after the game, Salah revealed how he went for power rather than precision with his wonder strike.

"I don't think, I just feel!" he declared.

"Normally I shoot [with the] inside of the foot but this one - because it's far [out] - I just hit it with power.

"I was a bit lucky that the ball hit the net like that."
