Normally at this time of year, I’m in Mobile for the annual Senior Bowl week. Alas, the trip this year proved untenable in the ongoing pandemic, and I’m missing just the second Senior Bowl week since 2007.
Fortunately, the Senior Bowl allowed us access to the practice film from each day with virtual credentials. I got together with Chris from the Detroit Lions Podcast and we walked and talked through a choice selection of plays and prospects from each of the first two days of practice action at the University of South Alabama’s new stadium.
There are quite a few plays of potential Lions prospects like Alabama QB Mac Jones, Wake Forest QB Jamie Newman, Michigan WR Nico Collins, Purdue LB Derek Barnes, Clemson WR Amari Rodgers and many more.
The film breakdown commentary is specifically tuned to the Lions and also includes quite a bit of breakdown on the direction the team is heading under new head coach Dan Campbell. It’s the next-best thing to being in Mobile!
