The Seattle Seahawks ended their one-year playoff drought last season, going 10-6 despite losing multiple big pieces from both their offense and defense, including Jimmy Graham, Paul Richardson, Richard Sherman, Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett – not to mention only getting four games from Earl Thomas.
A huge part of their success was thanks to their running game, one of the best in the league. That rested on the shoulders of second-year running back Chris Carson, who rushed for 1,151 yards and nine touchdowns last season while playing in 14 games.
Carson was named the NFC offensive player of the month in December, and was a Pro Bowl alternate at the running back position. Reggie Bush named him one of the five best running backs in the NFL, and his future is very bright for the Seahawks.
In addition to his smashmouth brand of football between the tackles, Carson flashed some incredible athleticism out in the open field, leading to plenty of highlight plays.
