It was much easier to hate the Rams when Jeff Fisher was in charge. Whether you’re a fan of a division rival or they beat your team Week 1, you have to give head coach Sean McVay credit for being a class act.
Panthers cornerback James Bradberry had a strong game defensively against LA’s tough wide receivers. He posted four combined tackles and an interception. While Rams quarerback Jared Goff’s decision and pass left much to be desired, it was still a superb play on the ball by Bradberry.
Immediately after the game, McVay sought out Bradberry and congratulated him on making the stop.
McVay also shared some praise for the team as a whole. In his post-game press conference, he told the media that he has a lot of respect for the Panthers.
While Carolina should feel good about pushing the NFC champions to just a three-point game, it has to sting knowing an upset was within reach.
