WATCH: Seahawks DB DeShawn Shead’s pick-6 against Vikings

The Seattle Seahawks re-signed defensive back DeShawn Shead this summer and the roster move has already paid dividends.

Credited with a safety in the Seahawks first preseason matchup against Denver, Shead added more points to his resume Sunday night in Minnesota with a pick-six. Shead logged a lengthy 88 yards on the return.

Shead originally signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and spent six seasons with the team before signing a one-year contract with the Lions in 2018.

A cornerback and special teams standout, Shead has been working at safety for the Seahawks this summer due to injuries at the position. His versatility is what could earn him a spot on the regular-season roster.

Shead came into the game Sunday night and replaced Bradley McDougald at strong safety.

Here’s a look at his interception return for a touchdown Sunday night against the Vikings.

Seahawks and Vikings are all tied up at 10-10 at the half.
