Watch Scots comic make 'hangover cure' that takes breakfast pizza to a whole new level

Last week we revealed that  Glasgow bar, The Record Factory, launched their own limited edition Breakfast Pizza .

Now Coatbridge funnyman Chris Henry has gone one better by concocting his own hangover busting version.

With a tattie scone base it's topped with Lorne sausage, haggis, black pudding, bacon, complete with baked bean sauce, the calorific delicacy is then sprinkled with cheese before being baked in the oven.

Chris, 41, recorded a video of the snack a year ago and sent his followers into meltdown when he posted it on social media after spotting the Record Factory's take on the dish.

He told the Record: "I was having the usual discussion about what’s best for a hangover, a pizza or a Scottish breakfast and then had the silly idea of combining them both.

"The more I thought about it, the more I tried to figure out how it would work and what ingredients to use. Once I figured out potato scones could be the base, I knew I had to try and make it."

"I filmed it about a year ago and forgot about it until I saw that a place in Glasgow was serving a breakfast on top of a cheese pizza. So decided to share my version to see what people thought."

It's sure to divide opinion, but Chris say's the pizza an ideal combination of two things he loves.

He added: "It’s the perfect meal. The beans as the sauce make the dish.

"Reaction has been funny, most people love it, although reading the comments, although I didn’t realise how many people disliked beans...weirdos."

Chris says he has plenty more ideas up his sleeve, if he can find anyone to try it.

"I’ve always new got ideas," he said. "It’s just finding the time people foolish enough to try them."
