Families gathered in Hamilton Town Centre on Saturday afternoon eagerly anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus and his reindeer.
After the success of last month's fantastic Christmas lights switch on event, the festivities got well and truly underway in the town centre.
The festive cheer was greatly missed in the town last year due to lockdown restrictions but a total of five Christmas markets in the coming weeks will no doubt help to make up for lost time.
And on Saturday Santa made an appearance in the town on his sleigh with his reindeers following.
He was given a warm Hamilton welcome and was greeted by lots of local children.
There was music, entertainment and lots of great market stalls as well as the town's shops and cafes for all to explore.
