Ryan Finley has his first touchdown pass as the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Late in the second quarter, Finley lofted up a simple pass for Tyler Eifert and the big-bodied tight end did the rest.
That big play for Finley came on the heels of a few nice displays of strong pocket awareness and play-extending ability to keep drives alive.
Finley wasn’t without mistakes in his first half of starting football at the NFL level though, as he tossed a picked-six on a prior drive.
Through two quarters, Finley’s efforts finished at eight completions on 14 attempts for 84 yards with a score and pick, the overarching score a 28-10 deficit.
