WATCH: Royce White says Carmelo Anthony is being blackballed by NBA, slams LeBron James

Royce White believes Carmelo Anthony’s absence from the NBA is not bad luck on the veteran’s part, but intentional.

In an interview with sports site Fanatics View, the BIG3 player said, “Melo is absolutely being blackballed.”

“He’s given too much to the game for [the NBA] not to allow him to play, or for them to kind of culturally make a decision or an agreement that he’s not good enough to play anymore.”

Anthony has not suited up since last November, playing 10 games for the Houston Rockets before being traded and waived by the Chicago Bulls. He was also rejected by USA Basketball’s Jerry Colangelo after expressing interest in playing for Team USA at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

White put fellow vet Jared Dudley in the crossfire while defending Melo, saying, “We know that there’s no way the Lakers would go out and sign Jared Dudley and not sign Carmelo Anthony.”
