Bears OLB Roquan Smith picked up where he left off last season in the Bears opening preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.
During the first quarter on the Panthers’ first series, Smith fired through the Panther soffensive line on a blitz dialed up by Defensive Coordinator Chuck Pagano and sacked QB Kyle Allen for an eight-yard loss.
The sack led to a Panthers punt and Smith’s day is likely done after shining in the opening drive.
