Day in and day out, Washington Redskins head coach Ron Rivera finds new ways to show us how much of a class act he really is.
As the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft got underway, the Redskins tweeted out a video of Rivera making the call to Chase Young on Thursday night, letting him know that he would be a member of the Redskins going forward. However, Rivera had an added twist to the conversation, asking instead to talk to Chase’s father, whom he instructed to tell his son where he was going.
“I think a dad should turn to his son and tell him he’s going to be a Washington Redskin,” Rivera said.
And of course, the celebration ensued. Hats off to you, Coach Rivera. We sure are happy to have you in Washington.
