NEW DELHI: Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians are a happy bunch. Having won two straight games, the smiles are back on the players' faces and all seem to be enjoying their teammates' success.
On Saturday, Mumbai Indians' official X handle shared a video of its cricketers celebrating victory after the match against RCB.
Titled, 'Heading into the weekend with Romario's words of encouragement', the video has an impromptu victory speech by Romario Shepherd.
"Today we came here for a win and you know we did it. Well bowled to Booms (Jasprit Bumrah). Also with the bat couldn't have asked for a better start from Kishan (Ishan) and Ro (Rohit Sharma). We never take the foot off the gas, we keep going and you know to the end we played aggressive cricket and that's the way we talk about the play. Skip (Hardik Pandya) well played," Shepherd says.
And just before he is about to end his impromptu speech, the knock of Suryakumar Yadav came to his mind.
"Oh, SKY", Shepherd exclaims to which Suryakumar Yadav replies, "Hi!", as all the Mumbai Indians players break into a laughter.
