Watch: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli hit the nets, Rahul Dravid oversees Team India practice session in Barbados

NEW DELHI: With the first Test against the West Indies starting on July 12, the Indian cricket team hit the nets in Barbados under the watchful eyes of coach Rahul Dravid.

The BCCI tweeted a video of the practice session in which captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane batting in the nets against Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, Jaydev Unadkat, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur.

The video also shows new Team India entrant Yashasvi Jaiswal batting in the nets before doing fielding drills.

The Indian team included some local club cricketers from Barbados along with its own 16 players for the two-day training-cum-practice game.

During the intra-squad practice game, Yashasvi Jaiswal did his case no harm for a Test debut by hitting 54 off 76 balls before taking a break.

The first Test begins on Wednesday in Dominica. On a predominantly dry track at the Dominica, Ravichandran Ashwin is likely to be the second spinner while Shardul Thakur will be the third seamer and lower middle-order enforcer.

The second Test, the 100th between the teams, is from July 20-24 in Trinidad.
