The Cincinnati Bengals’ second sixth-round running back selection was Rodney Anderson. He came in at pick No. 211, 29 picks after the Bengals first sixth-round running back Trayveon Williams.
Anderson, a versatile 6’0″ back from the University of Oklahoma, was rated a 5.63 by NFL.com prior to the draft. He was just a tad bit about Williams who was in the 5.4s.
Viewed as the best outside-of-the-first-round value by The Athletic, Anderson fits in well with this running back core given his size and speed. Anderson would be the ideal replacement for Joe Mixon if he were to go down while Williams’ play mimics Giovani Bernard.
