WATCH: Robert Williams III touches the sky on a lob attempt

One of the best plays from the Boston Celtics’ trouncing of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday came in the second quarter, as Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown and center Robert Williams III turned defense into offense, racing down the court to link up on a transition lob that got fans out of their seats.

Williams III, though officially listed at 6-foot-9, is one of the league’s elite leaders and he certainly put his explosiveness on display against the Cavs. It’s difficult to tell what’s more impressive between Williams III reading and reacting on defense to jump the passing lane, Williams’ alley-oop or Brown’s continued unselfishness in transition.

Williams III, now in his second season after being selected with the 27th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Texas A&M, recorded eight points (on 4-5 shooting from the field), three rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 10 minutes.
