WATCH: Rob Gronkowski says he could ‘easily’ go back to the NFL, if he wanted

Recently retired New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski says that he is asked everywhere he goes whether he is planning to unretire. Less than six months into life post football, the 30-year-old is doing himself very few favors in regard to stopping those sorts of questions.

On Tuesday’s episode of the Rapsheet and Friends Podcast, Gronk said that he would need only “a month,” to be physically ready to return to the gridiron.

“If that,” Gronkowski said. “I could easily go out there right now and go. Easily. For sure.”

The former Tom Brady target says he currently weighs 245 pounds, which is about 15-20 less than his playing weight.

To be clear, Gronkowski emphasized how much he is enjoying retirement life and the physical relief it provides. He said that if his gut feeling is ever that he should return to the league, he will, but that right now he still believes retirement is the right decision.
