Watch: Rob Gronkowski omits Zach Ertz from ranking of top-5 TE’s in NFL

Rob Gronkowski has a way of bringing attention to himself and after his appearance on Fox NFL Sunday, he’ll likely be hearing from rabid Eagles fans seeking an explanation.

Gronkowski was the NFL’s top tight end for years and with his sudden retirement, a sizable void was left. There are several big-named tight ends in the NFL capable of filling his spot, and on Sunday, Gronk was asked to name his top-five.

Gronkowski went with the Chiefs Travis Kelce.

“Makes the most plays. Always consistent,” Gronk said of Kelce. “No. 1 playmaker. He leads the Chiefs offense. He’s a great player.”

The choice of Kelce was fine, but it was his omission of Ertz that was the most puzzling part of the four-minute segment. Claiming that he prefers a big tight end, Gronkowski went with the Chargers Hunter Henry, over the Eagles star.

Henry and Ertz are the same sizes, so it seems that the former Patriots star might still be hung up on the 2017 loss to the Eagles.
