Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski doesn’t seem to show any signs of stopping the conversation (and/or rumors) that asks if or when he is going to unretire.
Sunday the Patriots handled the Steelers in their season opener easily, but Tuesday one simple Gronk tweet sent the internet into overdrive as the tweet garnered attention.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that New England is trading wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to the New York Jets in exchange for a 2021 sixth-round draft pick. The move vacates a roster spot – and less than an hour after Schefter tweeted the news, Gronkowski tweeted out the eyes emoji.
There is no clarity on what Gronk was tweeting about, but the timing raises interest for obvious reasons.
