Watch Rich Eisen run his annual 40-yard dash against the NFL combine’s stars

The 2019 edition of “Run Rich Run” is here, and the NFL Network’s Rich Eisen didn’t put up a career-best while running the 40-yard dash in his suit at the NFL combine.

Eisen — who has raised over $1 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because of his yearly dashes — told our Andy Nesbitt that he trained with Jay Glazer for the run, the first time he’s done so since he was timed at 6.77 seconds all the way back in 2005.

After cracking the six-second barrier in 2014, he did it again in 2016 (5.94 seconds) before returning to 6.02 seconds in 2017 and then nailing a 5.97-second run in 2018.

This year? It was 6.00 even:

And that leads us to the annual event that comes with Eisen’s dash: The NFL Network takes his footage and has some of the fastest stars of the combine run against him on simulcam:

He beat the high school student! There’s that. And he’s faster than this reporter, too.
