WATCH: Rhamondre Stevenson torches Commanders defense for touchdown

The New England Patriots started to find their groove on offense in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.

They were able to score their first touchdown through the air, and then they grabbed another one on the ground with Rhamondre Stevenson turning on the jets for a 64-yard score.

The touchdown run was the longest of Stevenson’s career. He was able to burst his way through the right side and find paydirt with his legs. The quick score was quite a surprise, given that the Patriots offense had been stagnant for most of the day.

It was also a bounce-back score for Stevenson, who had not scored a touchdown since the Week 2 run-in with the Miami Dolphins.

Stevenson’s explosiveness may be needed on Sunday, as the Patriots defense continues to battle against a gutsy Commanders team.
