Watch: Reggie Bush’s insane throwback Dolphins highlight reel

Former Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush wasn’t in Miami for a long time, but he sure was here for a good time — as we were all reminded of this past week as Bush celebrated his birthday and an NFL throwback account posted an extensive highlight reel of his time with the Dolphins.

Bush, who turned 36 years old this past week, was with the Dolphins for just two seasons between 2011 and 2012; but his pair of seasons in Miami accounted for over 2,600 yards and 15 touchdowns. Bush finished 14 yards short of 1,000 rushing yards in 2012, costing him a pair of 1,000 yard seasons in two years with the Dolphins.

But as Miami looks to find some life in the run game, they’d be well served to be inspired with what players who can run the ball like Bush have to offer. His highlight reel includes created yardage, yards after contact, creativity, good vision and cuts and, of course, plenty of production. But don’t just take our word for it: check out Bush’s throwback Dolphins highlights for yourselves.

Bush sits 14th on the Dolphins’ all-time leading rushers list; which is a great testament to how productive his time was here in Miami. The players he trails?

Bush, had he been given another shot with the team in 2013, would have had a great chance to sit inside the top-8 all-time in team history; but alas his career transitioned to Detroit. That season, he posted 1,006 rushing yards for the Lions and posted another 1,512 yards from scrimmage. Gone too soon? Perhaps. But at least we have his highlight reel to look back upon and remember his brief stay with the Dolphins.
