Redskins left tackle Trent Williams reported to the team Tuesday for the first time this season, ending his holdout after not being traded by the deadline.
The 31-year-old had deliberately missed the season to this point because of a dispute with the Redskins over the way they handled a medical situation.
For Williams, who is a seven-time Pro Bowler, this week became a deadline for returning to the team in order to accrue a year of his contract. He needed to be eligible to play at least six regular-season games to make that happen.
There is no clarity on when the team will active him as he can be kept off the 53-man roster for up to three weeks after reporting.
