We knew the Lakers’ front office was neck-deep in dysfunction when Magic Johnson, then the team president, up and left the organization out of nowhere in late April.
But Magic started to share specifics of the madness Monday on ESPN’s First Take, where he said he’d been stabbed in the back — metaphorically speaking, of course — by Lakers GM Rob Pelinka.
Magic also pinned some blame on Jeannie Buss, the team owner, saying she has allowed too many cooks in the kitchen when it comes to decision-making, which then subtracted from his role as the team president.
