WATCH: RB David Montgomery scores Bears’ first TD vs. Chargers

After four previously failed redzone opportunities, the Bears offense finally found the endzone on the opening possession of the second half.

Rookie running back David Montgomery gave the Bears their first touchdown of the game on a 4-yard run that put Chicago up 16-7 over the Chargers in the third quarter.

After getting booed off the field up 9-7 at halftime, the Bears offense answered with a 11-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that took 6:52 off the clock.

Montgomery’s touchdown run was set up by quarterback Mitchell Trubisky’s 31-yard bomb to receiver Allen Robinson that set the Bears up at the 4-yard line.
