Watch: Ravindra Jadeja pulls off a blinder in first ODI against Australia

NEW DELHI: Ravindra Jadeja was at his acrobatic best in the first one-dayer against Australia as he pulled off a screamer to remove Marnus Labuschagne in Mumbai on Friday.

Jadeja, who is currently one of the best fielders in the Indian team and a live wire on the field produced a sensational diving effort, stunning everyone including Labuschagne at the Wankhede Stadium.

The incident took place in the 23rd over when Labuschagne was looking to cut Kuldeep Yadav behind point against the spin.

The length ball from Kuldeep got a thickish outside edge off Labuschagne's bat. An alert Jadeja, who was stationed at short third-man made a full stretched dive to his right, completing the catch mid-air and then landed safely to finish off a spectacular effort.

After Labuschagne's dismissal, Australia lost wickets in a flurry as India managed to bowl out the visitors for a lowly 188 in 35.4 overs.

Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj picked a three wickets each while Jadeja bagged a couple. Skipper Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep were also among wickets for India in the series opener.
