Watch: Ravichandran Ashwin takes two wickets in two balls to break Anil Kumble's record

After England bowled India out for 307 on Sunday to take a 46-run first-innings lead on day three of the fourth Test at Ranchi, Ravichandran Ashwin rocked the visitors with three wickets, two of which came off consecutive balls that helped the veteran off-spinner go past spin legend Anil Kumble's record.

Before today, Kumble held the record for most wickets in Test matches played in India, which now stands in the name of Ashwin.

Kumble took 350 wickets in 63 matches, and Ashwin's tally now reads 352 in 59 Tests.

Here's the list of Indian bowlers with most wickets in Tests played in India:

R Ashwin - 352*

Anil Kumble - 350

Harbhajan Singh - 265

Kapil Dev - 219

Ravindra Jadeja - 210*
