Michael Pierce showed up a little too hefty for Baltimore Ravens mandatory minicamp — even for a lineman. The defensive tackle was sent off the field on Tuesday due to a “lack of conditioning,” per head coach John Harbaugh.
Pierce did not participate in Ravens offseason workouts leading up to their minicamp. Or any workouts at all, apparently.
A Ravens reporter noted on Tuesday that Pierce looked well over his playing weight of 340 pounds.
Pierce did not appear at Wednesday’s practice. If he doesn’t make it back on the field on Thursday, the last day of Ravens minicamp, he’ll have to wait for training camp next month.
