Watch Rangers star's showboating skills in Premier Sports Cup win

Ianis Hagi showed he was a chip off the old block as he showcased his skills during Friday night's Premier Sports Cup.

Hagi was on the scoresheet as Rangers hammered Dunfermline 5-0 in the last-16 of the competition.

It was a comfortable night at the office for Steven Gerrard's side, and the players were obviously in relaxed mood as they eased to their win.

None more so than Hagi, who evoked the spirit of his legendary father Gheorghe with a bit of showboating during the game.

The young Romanian showed a deft touch in bringing down Connor Goldson's pass before doing a couple of keepy-ups down the touchline.

Unfortunately for the 22-year-old, the referee assistant's flag went up for offside, but it did little to dampen the reaction of the Ibrox faithful.

The supporters lapped up the skills, with many taking to social media to voice their praise.

@RheiceMulgrah wrote “I was furious when the flat went up for this. Was up out my seat applauding. Ability.”

@Dixiethedug added: “Reflections of Jim Baxter 1967.”
