Watch Rangers loanee Serge Atakayi's stunning strike for SJK in Finland

Serge Atakayi is tipped to go far for Rangers when he returns.

The Finland youth international made his first team debut in a 7-1 win over Motherwell earlier this season before being injured in the same game.

He joined top flight side SJK Seinajoki in his homeland on loan until the end of the season and has impressed for them so far.

And he grabbed his first goal for the club with a stunning strike against HJK.

The Finnish big boys, who Rangers signed Alfredo Morelos from, scored a late equaliser after Atakayi had given his side the lead.

He picked the ball up after a defensive mistake and drove at the Helsinki defence before unleashing an effort from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.

When he joined SJK, Atakayi admitted it was hope to break into the Rangers first team and revealed he had held talks with Steven Gerrard about doing so.

He said: "I came to SJK because I need some playing time.

"Rangers saw this as the best solution for me.  Steven Gerrard  has told me he thinks I can play for the first team next season.

"I spoke to Rangers and told them I wanted to sign for SJK because Alexei Eremenko is like a father to me."
