Watch Rangers fans help clean up graffiti-hit Celtic club after Old Firm game

Two Rangers fans put on the ultimate show of solidarity by helping clean up a vandal-hit Celtic supporters club -  just minutes after today's Old Firm derby.

David Black and John Barr headed for the No 1 Irvine Celtic Supporters Club in Irvine, Ayrshire this afternoon after their side claimed a 2-0 win at Parkhead.

The duo power washed kerbs that had been painted blue and red and graffiti-daubed walls.

We reported earlier today how David, chairman of the Irvine Rangers Supporters Club, discovering the mess at 6.30am this morning.

He scrubbed the kerbs with a brush before returning with pal John in late afternoon to finish the job.

David told the Irvine Herald:"I passed the Celtic club at 6.30am and saw the mess.

"It's absolutely ridiculous and can't be condoned in any circumstances.

"I was only too happy to go along and help clean it up along with several other people who were there at the time.

"There's no need for this kind of thing at all."

Community stalwart Diane Dean, who recorded the clip above, said: "David and John are absolute gems. It's a privilege to know them."

The vandals are believed to have struck in the early hours of the morning.
