Watch Rangers Europa League foes Feyenoord strike with stunning solo goal against Porto

Few would have fancied Feyenoord to beat Porto after their defeat at Ibrox but last night the Dutchmen cruised to a 2-0 victory in Rotterdam.

Attacking midfielder Jens Toornstra opened the scoring in the 49th minute with a beautifully measured volley from 10 yards before Rick Karsdorp scored what will be one of the goals of the tournament.

The 24-year-old right-back, who is on loan from Roma, picked up a clearance on the half way line and proceeded to drive into the heart of the Porto defence.

He skipped into the box past two challenges before slipping the ball under the onrushing keeper.

It's a goal that wouldn't be out of place in the repertoire of Lionel Messi , let alone a full-back.

While Karsdorp displays brilliant direct running and skill, Steven Gerrard will surely note Porto's static defending with interest.

The Ibrox side face off against the Portuguese side in a Europa League double header with the first match at Ibrox on the 24th of October and the rematch in the Estádio do Dragão on the 7th of November.
