Watch Rangers boss Steven Gerrard provide injury update on Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield

Steven Gerrard has provided updates on four of his players ahead of Wednesday night's return to Premiership action against Hamilton Accies.

Brian Rice's side visit Ibrox days after Rangers were knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Hearts at Tynecastle.

The manager has also confirmed that Alfredo Morelos is back in contention for the Accies match.

Gerrard said: "Ryan Jack's got a bruise underneath his heel, so he won't be involved tomorrow.

"I think he's got a small chance for the weekend, but I'd still say he's a doubt for the weekend.

"We're waiting for news on a scan on Scott Arfield, but it's not as bad as originally feared, so both of those lads should be back with us.

"I'd say Ryan's got a small chance for the weekend. Scott's a big doubt for the weekend.

"Helander's due back in full training on Friday, which will be a big boost and a big bonus to us. Matt Polster should be back in training on Friday. He's got a bit of a hamstring issue as well."

Gerrard has insisted that he intends to remain at Ibrox. Asked if he had thought about his future, Gerrard said: "Long term? No, no. From the end of the game at the weekend, which was bitterly disappointing, I have done a real lot of thinking to myself and shared those thoughts with people around me and I am ready to go again.

"I've signed up to something here. I'm in, I'm all in.
