Even in his third year as a head coach, Sean McVay remains one of the most creative minds in the NFL. He reached his hand deep into his bag of tricks on Sunday, showing the London fans a play they likely have never seen before.
In the second quarter, the Rams ran a double-reverse trick play successfully and it was a joy to watch. Jared Goff first handed the ball off to Cooper Kupp, who then pitched it to Robert Woods. Woods dropped it back off to Goff, who threw it deep to Kupp for a 65-yard score.
You might want to watch this one a few times.
It helped that B.W. Webb slipped on the play, which allowed Kupp to run free down the sideline, but it was a beautifully designed play, nonetheless. It gave the Rams a 17-10 lead over Cincinnati.
