Watch: Raiders TE Darren Waller makes masterful 29-yard catch then breaks 1,000-yard mark again

With the last play of the first quarter, Derek Carr put the ball up for Darren Waller. The elite tight end didn’t get any separation. There was no indication he was about to get separation. Didn’t matter. Carr threw for him anyway. Waller reached up and plucked it out of the air, making it look easy. The DB had no shot.

The catch went for 29 yards and put the Raiders at the Miami 35-yard-line. Unfortunately, the drive ended three plays later with a nine-yard sack on Carr that took the Raiders out of field goal range.

Late in the second quarter, Waller had his second catch of the day and his 95th of the season. That catch went for 19 yards, giving him 1015 yards on the season, putting him over the 1000-yard mark for the second-straight season.

Later in that same drive, Waller would catch a 10-yard pass, giving him three catches for 58 yards in the game and 96 catches for 1,025 on the season.
