While a lot didn’t go right for the Raiders in Week 3, one positive was the play of their tight end Darren Waller. Against Minnesota, Waller set a franchise record with 13 receptions by a tight end, gaining 134 yards in the process.
Waller was a massive mismatch for the Vikings’ defense as they just had no player on their roster who could defend the former Georgia Tech wide receiver. You can watch all 13 of his receptions below via the Oakland Raiders:
The scariest part about Waller is that he still has so much to improve on as a player. He needs to continue to add strength as a blocker and could develop more as a route runner. However, he’s already on his way to having a breakout season and should be a lock to make the Pro Bowl if he continues this pace.
