WATCH: Raiders select CB Charles Woodson in 1998 NFL Draft

The Raiders have had their fair share of busts in the first round. From Robert Gallery to Jamarcus Russell and Darrius Heyward-Bey, the team has missed a lot in the last few decades. However, it hasn’t always been that way.

With the NFL Draft just a month away, it’s time to look back another year in which the Raiders held the No.4 pick; 1998. Via the team’s official Twitter account, here is the video of the Raiders selecting Charles Woodson with their first-round pick in 1998.

Woodson went on to start 151 games for the Raiders and another 100 with the Green Bay Packers. He played 18 years in the NFL, finishing his career with 65 interceptions, 20 sacks, and 11 touchdowns. He was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and the Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.

Woodson is one of the best draft picks in Raiders’ history and is a shoo-in to make the Hall of Fame.
