The Washington Redskins are turning to their first-round draft pick for Week 9. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins will make his first NFL start as the Redskins (1-7) visit the Bills (5-2).
The 15th overall selection of April’s NFL Draft has played in two games this season as a reliever, most recently taking over for Case Keenum after the season starter was knocked out the team’s Week 8 Thursday night loss at Minnesota (6-2).
Haskins has completed 12 of 22 passes, throwing no touchdowns but being picked off in two relief efforts at quarterback for Washington this season.
It is not clear if he would remain starter once Keenum clears the concussion protocol.
