For many kids, sports day is the best school day of the year.
Due to Covid-19, CBS Primary School in Tralee, Co Kerry was unable to run its annual sporting event, but the teachers came up with a brilliant idea to entertain their students.
From home both the pupils and teachers kicked a football to each other virtually.
Posting on their Facebook page the school said: "Usually around this time, we would be out on the field practising for Sports Day.
"We are so disappointed it can’t happen this year so we decided to do something about it!
"Thank you to everyone who took the time to send in a video clip.
"It was great to see all those smiling faces! We hope you enjoy watching the CBS Virtual Kick Around! We loved putting it together!"
Parents were thrilled with the amount of work and effort the school went through putting this video together saying: "Congratulations and well done again CBS Primary School.
"Fantastic video and well put together. I'm sure the children will enjoy watching themselves and their friends as it's been a while since they've seen each other.
"Hopefully they'll be able to meet up again in the not too distant future. Keep up the good work and last but not least....stay safe."
