WATCH: President Trump on Colin Kaepernick’s NFL prospects

President Donald Trump believes that Colin Kaepernick should have an opportunity in the NFL, but “only if he’s good enough.”

Trump explained his perspective on the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback this way: “I know the owners. I know Bob Kraft. I know so many of the owners. If he’s good enough, they’d sign him…They will do anything they can to win games, so I’d like to see it. Frankly, I’d love to see Kaepernick come in if he’s good enough. But I don’t want to see him come in because somebody thinks it’s a good PR move. If he’s good enough, he will be in.”

Kaepernick settled his collusion case against the NFL in February and Wednesday, Aug. 7 shared a video on social media with a count of the number of days that have passed since he worked for the NFL. In the video, the 31-year-old shows himself going through a locker room workout. The video is captioned, “5am. 5 days a week. For 3 years. Still Ready.”
