WATCH: President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend World Series Game 5

President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend World Series Game 5 in Washington, D.C. (if there is a Game 5). But the Commander in Chief will not throw out the first pitch.

Popular D.C. chef José Andrés will instead have the opportunity to throw the ceremonial first pitch, but he and the Nationals’ other fans are rooting against that even being necessary.

Andres tweeted Friday morning, “I’m humbled by the invitation, and I realize is a big big big honor but I really hope that by Saturday night all of WASHINGTON will be celebrating that the @Nationals are the 2019 @MLB World Series Champions…🙏😘😘👨‍🍳⚾️🏆.”

Trump previously sued Andrés for $10 million after the chef pulled his restaurant Topo Atrio out of Trump’s D.C. hotel just after the president announced he was running for the office and then said Mexico was sending “rapists” and criminals to the United States, according to USA Today. Andrés is a naturalized American citizen and a native of Spain.
