Watch Patriots coaches brainstorm for Super Bowl LIII game plan

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and his offensive coaching assistants were piecing together their game plan for Super Bowl LIII when defensive end Dante Fowler was the topic of discussion.

McDaniels explained that Fowler and defensive tackle Aaron Donald would influence the way the offensive coordinator called plays. Thus, McDaniels asked his coaching assistants to inform him which players were coming in and out of the game. That way, McDaniels could properly select the plays that worked best against the personnel on the field for the Rams.

We learned this in a sneak peak of “3 Games To Glory: VI,” a movie produced by the Patriots which documents New England’s Super Bowl-winning run. Here’s a look.
